It is the common man in general and the Society in unison who can make the world a better place, a perfect place for peace, love and Harmony.  How? The 100 Dollars I am earning through this article may not be a matter for me; but it really matters, how many persons are there to take on this article, to improve their living conditions! But every one must be aware, that within one hundred dollars, it is impractical to improve the conditions for betterment. This contest could have well gone with a heading " Dream " about making the world a better place – just with US$.100/- But given in its present heading, it is certainly not practical, other than arousing the passion and kindling the imaginary power in one's thoughts! Yet, I did take the challenge, just to prove, even without this one hundred dollars, we can surely improve the world and make it as better place to live in harmony and peace. Here are the answer to the big "How"

(1) Take to the Spiritual path:

Science has improved, improved a lot to uplift the mankind. Detonating nuclear bombs and shooting rockets into space may excite the mind, but they cannot satisfy the spiritual hunger of the people. They cannot bring peace of mind to the human race. In the recent past, science and technology have made tremendous strides for the good as well as for the potential evil of man. They reflect a great spirit of adventure and extraordinary human ingenuity in inventing marvellous devices. The energy is there, the inventive genius is there, the spirit of discovery is there, but, alas, it is all diverted into exclusively material spheres, without taking into consideration the spiritual growth of man.

Science has progressed, no doubt, but, at what cost? Science has contributed to the welfare of humanity; but its misuse has tragically left in its wake devastation and desolation, fear and moral degradation. Science has taken strides forward and spiritual values of life have deteriorated. Civilization is said to have

progressed, but what we see is the signs of progress marred by the increasing number of mental hospitals, divorce courts, juvenile courts, psychiatric clinics and penitentiaries. Stem the tide and change the course. Let there be a balanced progress of science and moral values. Live a balanced life. Manifest the basic virtues in daily life. Change to meditation or Take to Yoga. You will reap a rich harvest. You will gain vigour of body, clarity of intellect, peace of mind and enrichment of soul. Thus every soul acts to find peace on earth culminating in resting on it! You have the perfect place to live in now in peace and harmony. You can create a new world around you.

Search within. Stop finding fault with others:

Instead of finding fault with others, search within you. You may find it difficult to digest, but the very fault you thinking about others are just lying in yourself. A man feared that his wife wasn't hearing as well as she used to, and he thought she might need a hearing aid. Not quite sure how to approach her, he called the family Doctor to discuss the problem. The Doctor told him, that there is a simple informal test the husband could perform to give the Doctor a better idea about her
hearing loss.

"Here's what you do," said the Doctor, "stand about 40 feet away from her, and in a normal conversational speaking tone see if she hears you. If not, go to 30 feet, then 20 feet, and so on until you get a response."

That evening, the wife is in the kitchen cooking dinner, and he was in the den. He says to himself, "I'm about 40 feet away, let's see what happens."

Then in a normal tone he asks, 'Honey, what's for dinner?"

No response.

So the husband moves to closer to the kitchen, about 30 feet from his wife and repeats, "Honey, what's for dinner?"

Still he hears no response.

Next he moves into the dining room where he is about 20 feet from his wife and asks, Honey, what's for dinner?"

Again he gets no response so, He walks up to the kitchen door, about 10 feet away.

"Honey, what's for dinner?" Again there is no response.

So he walks right up behind her. "Honey, what's for dinner?"

"Joe, for the FIFTH time I've said, PASTA!"

Friends, it is not the case of just mistaken notion, but practically one erred to find the fault within that caused such notions. It is the humour of life that teaches a lot for us. We should now focus on how to respond to our own faults. We tend to look the other way, thinking that the fault is with others and trying to heal in others, rather than attending to one's own faults. What concerns us in our mindset is that we try to project onto others. Not necessarily a force. At times the best ways to learn to gain peace and to give peace to the world is, just to turn the mind inwards - rather than outwards; if one finds himself/herself posing judgment on others' actions, then it is just simply possible to turn it to inwards. The conflict is in real terms, consequence of our own anger or grief at oneself. If a thorough check is made on our own thoughts and acts, then the anger and temperament would fade.

At times, we believe that the entire world is going on in our head, what occurs externally is just the final movie that everyone gets to watch. Yet, what goes on inside includes the cast, the characters, their relationships, the conflicts, the living out of every single scene and the decisions which we take (In Life) finally makes the movie worth or not worth watching.

Stop worrying; try to enjoy your present perfect:

There lived a King who, despite his luxurious lifestyle and comfort, was neither happy nor content. One day, the King came upon a servant who was singing happily while he worked. This fascinated the King; why was he, the Supreme Ruler of the Land, unhappy and gloomy, while a lowly servant had so much joy. The King asked the servant, "Why are you so happy?" The man replied, "Your Majesty, I am nothing but a servant, but my family and I don't need too much - just a roof over our heads and warm food to fill our tummies."

The king was not satisfied with that reply. Later in the day, he sought the advice of his most trusted minister. After hearing the King's woes and the servant's story, the Minister said, "Your Majesty, I believe that the servant has not been made part of The 99 Club." "The 99 Club? And what exactly is that?" the King inquired.

The advisor replied, "Your Majesty, to truly know what The 99 Club is, place 99 Gold coins in a bag and leave it at this servant's doorstep." When the servant saw the bag, he took it into his house. When he opened the bag, he let out a great shout of joy... so many gold coins! He began to count them. After several counts, he was at last convinced that there were 99 coins. He wondered, "What could've happened to that last gold coin? Surely, no one would leave 99 coins!" He looked everywhere he could, but that final coin was elusive. Finally, exhausted, he decided that he was going to have to work harder than ever to earn that gold coin and complete his collection.

From that day, the servant's life was changed. He was overworked, horribly grumpy, and castigated his family for not helping him make that 100th gold coin. He

stopped singing while he worked. Witnessing this drastic transformation, the King was puzzled. When he sought his advisor's help, the advisor said, "Your Majesty, the servant has now officially joined The 99 Club." He continued, "The 99 Club is a name given to those people who have enough to be happy but are never contented, because they're always yearning and striving for that extra 1 telling to themselves: "Let me get that one final thing and then I will be happy for life."

We can be happy, even with very little in our lives, but the minute we're given something bigger and better, we want even more! We lose our sleep, our happiness, we hurt the people around us; all these as a price for our growing needs and desires. That's what joining The 99 Club is all about." So forget about joining the Mad Club 99. You'll surely have the mental peace to make others too happy with your gestures.

Be Happy, happy forever. Do not bother about the happenings. Do leave the rest in the hands of almighty. Pray, meditate and learn some thing unusual. Stick to your punctual schedule. Make others happy with your small gestures. In turn you will get the same returned to you doubly. This way, the relationship is bound to keep the entire society bonded, as a single family. Once it is achieved, sure, the mother earth would be safer place to dwell in. Believe in God. Remember that what God does, He does it for good. Thus the planet Earth could become one home, to " Make the World a Better Place"

Whether one is ready or not, a day or other it will all come to an end.

There will be no more sunrises, no minutes, hours or days. You cannot just count the time or numbers that were left or unattended. With your sweat and hard work, all the things you collected, whether treasured or forgotten, will pass to someone else. The Bhagavad-Gita states that your wealth, properties, fame and temporal power will shrivel to irrelevance. Yet, the end is only for the body and not for the Soul known as Aatma. The soul is freed from the suffering body to attain eternal forever. It will not matter what you owned or what you were owed. Your success, failures, contacts, name, fame, your grudges, resentments, frustrations, and jealousies will finally disappear.

So, too, your hopes, ambitions, plans, written or otherwise and to-do lists will expire along with you. The wins and losses that once seemed so important will fade away. It won't matter where you came from, or on what side of the tracks you lived, at the end. It won't matter whether you were beautiful or brilliant; clever or fool; even your gender and skin colour will be irrelevant. So what will matter? How will the value of your days be measured? What will matter is not what you bought, but what you built; not what you got, but what you gave.

What will matter is not your success, but your significance.

What will matter is not what you learned, but what you taught.

What will matter is every act of integrity, compassion, courage or sacrifice that enriched, empowered or encouraged others to emulate your example.

What will matter is not your competence, but your character.

What will matter is not how many people you knew, but how many will feel a lasting loss when you're gone. What will matter is not your memories, but the memories cherished that live in those who loved you.

What will matter is how long you will be remembered, by whom and for what.

Living a life that matters doesn't happen by accident. It's not a matter of circumstance but of our own choice. Choose to live a life that matters. That make the world a better place for perfect living. The hundred dollars I am earning with this article is not a matter for me. But how many members and readers make this article, as an example to live is what that matters for me!
